Picture of an early 90s IBM PC Clone with the equivalent power of an early Pentium - the 'Emachine' - with a sticker on it saying 'This machine will never be obsolete and that you can upgrade your computer after 2 years for only $100'

The 90’s Emachine with a whole 64MB of RAM!

I remember seeing these ‘EMachine ’ PCs in the late 90s. By then, I had been using computers since 1986, starting with a BBC Microcomputer .

I first got my own personal ‘PC’ in my bedroom in 1993, starting with an IBM compatible 386 .

I have been building all my own PCs since around 1999 right up to today, including my current one .

Not a lot of people take the time to build their own computers these days, even in my line of work, but I really enjoy it, and love the level of customisation it offers.
